Meet Jeffery Cobb
Jeffery Cobb, a lifelong resident of the Tri-Cities area and founder of Big Brother Aeronautics, brings a unique blend of skills and experience to the forefront. His journey from an acclaimed student leader to a committed law enforcement officer and a passionate drone pilot showcases his dedication to community, safety, and technological advancement.
- Law Enforcement Veteran: Over a decade of experience as a Peace Officer in Southeast Washington State. He also has been a part of a first responder and mental health family for over three decades providing services in multiple facets to the community.
- Educational Achiever: Bachelor of Arts in Inter-Disciplinary Studies from Eastern Washington University.
- Community Contributor: Extended involvement in community service and traffic safety education.
- Drone Expertise: FAA licensed Part 107 pilot and owner of a drone company since 2021.
Currently, Jeffery is a part of the Field Services Division in the Patrol Section of his department and a training officer in multiple subjects. He’s also the senior member of the Traffic Unit, responsible for traffic enforcement, collision investigations, drug impaired driver detection, pink patch program coordinator, and more. Jeffrey was also a founding member and trainer for his Department’s pioneering drone program.
Jeffrey has been presented with multiple awards and recognitions during his time as a Peace Officer. These include a Commanding Officer Citation, multiple Unit Citations, Meritorious Service Citation, and in 2022 was named the Washington State Patrol DECP Mark Brinkman DRE of the Year.
